SharePoint Planning and Governance

This intensive 3-day course will take you through the process of developing a successful implementation plan for your Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS) or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) deployment. Determining the goals and vision, stakeholders, level of customization or development, rollout, phasing, intranet, extranet, and internet considerations and taxonomy of your portal will all be discussed through lectures, hands on experience, and case studies. This class will not only cover what you should do but will also cover real world scenarios and best practices.

Student Prerequisites

Attendees should have experience with the Internet Explorer and Office Products such as Word, Excel and Outlook. It is highly recommended (but not required) that students get some hands-on experience working with sites in a Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 environment and using Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007 before the start of class.
